The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines physics as “a science that deals with matter and energy and their interactions.”

Physics is one of the most fundamental scientific disciplines, with its main goal being understanding how the universe behaves. It is one of the oldest academic disciplines.”

“Physics teaches you to reason from first principles rather than by analogy.”

Why I Love Physics

My love of this most fundamental science stems from its ability to dispel the illusion of chaos and complexity through the reduction of the universe into a harmony of individual pieces moving within the confines of predetermined rules without the continual assistance of a will. With physics, I have discovered my “why” for existing, and as the philosopher Nietzsche said, “He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how.”
